NetBeans IDE是用Java編寫的，所以也都支援Java的多種的應用程式，且程式原始碼又為開放式。官方也有提供多種的套件，讓使用者可以依您要發展的需求去下載套件包。

  • 您可增加您要的編譯語言。
  • 可依您的需求，至官方選擇下載該需求所有的功能。
  • 可輕鬆利用快捷鍵(Ctrl-)，來搜索整個IDE，也可打開所有項目。
  • 選擇任務列表，則可以自動掃描您的代碼，如代碼有錯，則會告知需修復等。
  • IDE的工具欄，可針對個人習慣做移動擺置，使您更為上手。
