phpMyAdmin是一個以PHP為基礎，軟體目的是在處理MySQL的資料庫管理。可以讓管理者都可以利用Web介面來管理MySQL資料庫。當然此軟體最主要的優勢就是可以與其他的PHP程式在網頁伺服器上執行。而可利用這些程式來產生HTML頁面，也就像是所謂的遠端管理MySQL資料庫。可創建、修改或刪除資料庫及資料表。
- 使用者可以自由切換不同語言介面，包含繁體中文。
- 可在web介面上操作您的資料庫或資料夾(如:修改、新建或刪除等)。
- 在維護功能方面包含可(檢查、修復、分析、最佳化)資料表等。
