Pale Moon is a Firefox-based web browser for Microsoft Windows, Android and Linux (with other operating systems in development) that is focused on efficiency and ease of use. The application is Open Source and free to use. Pale Moon offers you a browsing experience in a browser completely built from its own source with carefully selected features and optimizations to maximize the browser's speed, stability and user experience, whilst maintaining compatibility with thousands of Firefox extensions.

KEY FEATURES INCLUDE:

  • Familiar, efficient, fully customizable interface with smooth and speedy page drawing and script processing.
  • Support for Pale Moon exclusive extensions and themes and extensive support for HTML5, CSS3 and WebGL.
  • Support for many Firefox extensions (add-ons) and themes. Pale Moon is able to import existing Firefox profiles with the migration tool.

System Requirements: Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Server 2008 or later. A processor with SSE2 support. 256 MB of free RAM. At least 150 MB of free (uncompressed) disk space.

Aligned instanceof with the final ES6 spec.
Improved Windows DIB (bitmap) clipboard data handling.
Exposed TLS 1.3 cipher suite prefs in about:config in case people want to disable them individually.
Allowed empty string on the location.search setter to clear URL query parameters from JS.
Added a potential fix for external links not opening in the current window/tab (untested).
Enabled C++11 thread-safe statics in the entire application.
Updated several preferences for integration with the new add-ons site.
