Fraps是一套圖型效能評量的程式，是一個螢幕畫面擷取程式，更是一個螢幕畫面錄影程式，這個錄影功能是其最出名的地方，是在網路上可以看到有不少人，會使用Fraps做線上游戲(操作或其它)的錄影，並分享給別人觀看。

  • Fraps的運作運作是在DirectX或OpenGL的技術下，在這兩種圖型模式下，您可以利用Fraps的功能做操作。
  • 效能評量部份，會在畫面的角落出現fps值(每秒畫幀數-Frames Per Second)，這個數值越大代表畫面的更新多且快，使用者觀看起來就會順暢不lag。
  • 提供螢幕畫面進行擷取的動作，您只需要下達擷取畫面的指令，Fraps會自動存檔並為檔案命名，只保留畫面，而不打斷您現有程式的運行。
  • 除了畫面的擷取外，還可以做螢幕的錄影(音)，支援最大的錄影解析到2560*1600，fps由1~120(解析越高，fps越大則影音檔檔案大小越大)。
  • 未註冊的版本會有錄影時間限制及內崁浮水印。
